Teen Cricket Prodigy Ayan Raj Smashes 327 in 134 Balls, Inspired by IPL Star Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
Inspired by IPL sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 13-year-old Ayan Raj delivered a jaw-dropping performance by scoring an unbeaten 327 runs off just 134 balls in a district-level cricket match in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Representing Sanskriti Cricket Academy in a 30-over encounter, Ayan’s explosive innings featured a staggering 22 sixes and 41 fours — with 296 of his runs coming solely from boundaries.
The young batter registered a strike rate of 220.89, showcasing extraordinary composure and powerful stroke play well beyond his years. His performance has quickly caught national attention, arriving just weeks after his friend Vaibhav Suryavanshi made waves in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a record-breaking century.
Vaibhav, who turned heads this season playing for Rajasthan Royals, struck the fastest-ever century by an Indian in IPL history — a 35-ball blitz against Gujarat Titans. His dazzling debut earned him accolades and comparisons to Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
Ayan and Vaibhav share more than just a passion for cricket — they also share a deep bond. “Every time I talk to Vaibhav bhai, I get a special feeling,” Ayan told News18. “We used to play together when we were younger. Today, he has made a big name for himself, and I’m also following in his footsteps.”
Ayan’s cricketing dream is rooted in family legacy. His father, a former cricketer, once aspired to wear the Indian jersey — a dream now carried forward by his son, who is quickly becoming a rising star in Bihar’s cricket circuit.
Suryavanshi Eyes Bigger Goals After Explosive IPL Debut
Meanwhile, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has no plans to slow down. After a breakout IPL 2025 campaign where he scored 252 runs in just seven innings — including one fifty and a record-breaking century — the 14-year-old is already setting new goals.
“My biggest takeaway is that I have to do everything better next time — not just slightly better, but twice as good,” Vaibhav said in a video shared by the IPL. “I want to help Rajasthan Royals reach the final next season. That’s the aim.”
With a strike rate of 206.55 and the ‘Super Striker of the Season’ award under his belt, Suryavanshi is determined to refine his skills and come back even stronger.
“Playing in the IPL is a dream. I’ve learned a lot and will work on the areas where I fell short. Next season, I want to give even more to the team,” he added.
