The monsoon may bring relief from the summer heat, but it can also derail your outdoor workouts and gym visits. If rain has you stuck indoors, fitness influencer Anita Negi has a solution — a simple, equipment-free workout you can do right in your living room.
Anita, who shed 15 kg (dropping from 67 kg to 52 kg), recently posted a video on June 16 featuring fat-burning exercises perfect for the rainy season. “These are basic moves you can do even in a small room,” she wrote, encouraging her followers to stay consistent, rain or shine.
She recommends three sets of the routine, with the following reps for each move:
Anita’s At-Home Monsoon Workout
Rope Jumps – 50 reps
Jump on the balls of your feet, keeping your spine neutral and chest lifted. This boosts cardio and coordination.
Cross Jumps – 30 reps
A twist on rope jumps: cross one leg in front of the other mid-air, alternating with each jump. Great for agility and calorie burn.
High Knees – 20 reps
Lift your knees above waist level, pumping your arms. Anita says this move is great for burning fat fast.
Jump Squats – 10 reps
Start in a squat, then jump up explosively and land softly back into a squat. This strengthens your legs and glutes.
Butterfly Sit-Ups – 10 reps
Lie back, legs bent outward. As you crunch up, clap under your knees, then reach back overhead. A solid core move.
V-Sit Crunches – 10 reps
Balance on your sit bones with legs and torso raised, forming a “V.” Crunch in, then extend again. Targets deep core muscles.
Mountain Climbers – 30 reps
From a plank, drive your knees to your chest in quick succession. This move works your core, shoulders, and cardio.
