YouTuber’s Video Shows Murdered Groom Trekking With Wife Hours Before Alleged Honeymoon Killing.

A travel vlogger has inadvertently captured what may be the final footage of Raja Raghuvanshi, the Indore man allegedly murdered by his wife Sonam and her lover during their honeymoon in Meghalaya.

The video, shot by YouTuber Devender Singh on May 23 in Nongriat village, shows Sonam and Raja trekking along a forest trail near the Double Decker Root Bridge — just hours before Raja was reportedly pushed to his death in a 1,000-foot-deep gorge.

Singh, who uploaded the footage days later, said he noticed the couple only after reviewing his clips. “They were coming up the trail while we were going down around 9:45 am. Sonam was wearing the same white shirt later found near Raja’s body,” he said.

In the video, Sonam leads the way holding a plastic bag, while Raja follows a few steps behind — seemingly unaware of the fate that awaited him. Singh noted, “He looked calm and completely unsuspecting.”

Police believe Raja was murdered later that day. He and Sonam had checked out of their homestay early that morning. His body was found 10 days later. The couple had married in Indore on May 11 and arrived in Meghalaya for their honeymoon on May 21. They were reported missing from Cherrapunji on May 23.

Sonam was arrested in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, and confessed to plotting the murder with her boyfriend, Raj Kushwaha. Three others — Vishal Chauhan, Anand Kurmi, and Akash Rajput — were also arrested for helping plan and execute the crime.

Police say the video could be a key piece of evidence in reconstructing the final hours of Raja’s life.
