Swiatek-Ruud Edge Past Draper-Pegula to Reach US Open Mixed Doubles Final.

Top seeds Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud booked their place in the US Open mixed doubles final after a hard-fought win over Jessica Pegula and Jack Draper on a rain-hit day at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The semifinal went the distance, with Pegula-Draper taking the first set 5-3 before Swiatek-Ruud leveled by winning the second 5-3. In the decisive 10-point tiebreak, the top seeds rallied from 4-8 down to clinch a dramatic 10-8 victory.

They will now face defending champions Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori, who beat Danielle Collins and Christian Harrison 4-2, 4-2 in the other semifinal. The Italians are chasing a successful title defense, something last achieved by Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Jamie Murray in 2019.

Swiatek and Ruud, meanwhile, are eyeing their first Grand Slam mixed doubles crown in the revamped format, which offers a $1 million prize pool.
