Coolie Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 10: Rajinikanth Film Roars Past Tiger 3 & Dunki.
After a sluggish run during the weekdays, Rajinikanth’s Coolie bounced back strongly over the weekend, registering an impressive 70% jump on its second Saturday. The surge was driven by both domestic and overseas markets, pushing the film past two major Bollywood releases in just 10 days.
Box Office Performance
On Day 10, Coolie collected ₹10 crore net in India, up from ₹5.85 crore on Friday. This took its domestic total to ₹245 crore net (₹291 crore gross). Overseas markets also contributed significantly, with the film’s international tally reaching $21 million (₹177 crore). Together, this brings Coolie’s worldwide gross to ₹468 crore.
With this leap, the Rajinikanth starrer has already overtaken Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 (₹464 crore) and Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki (₹454 crore) — both of which, despite being successes, underperformed against expectations.
Eyeing the ₹500-Crore Club
At its current pace, Coolie is on track to cross the ₹500-crore milestone by Tuesday, making it only the fourth Tamil film to achieve the feat after Rajinikanth’s 2.0 and Jailer, and Vijay’s Leo.
About the Film
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the action-thriller stars Rajinikanth in the lead, with Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, and a cameo by Aamir Khan. Despite mixed critical reviews, the film has been widely embraced by fans, cementing Rajinikanth’s dominance at the box office yet again.
