IMD Issues Orange Alert for Mumbai, Pune, Thane as Rains Continue.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued an orange alert for Mumbai after days of continuous rainfall that left parts of the city waterlogged. A cloudy sky with light to moderate showers is expected, with temperatures ranging between 26°C and 30°C.

The alert has also been extended to Pune, Raigad, Thane, Jalna, Satara and Aurangabad, while Nagpur, Nashik, Chandrapur and Latur are under a yellow alert.

According to the IMD, a cyclonic circulation over Vidarbha is driving the rain across the state. Marathwada, North Maharashtra, Konkan-Goa and South Maharashtra may receive moderate showers with thunderstorms, accompanied by strong winds of 45–55 kmph, gusting up to 65 kmph.
