Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana Part One Edit Complete, VFX Work to Span 300 Days.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana is one of the most-awaited films of the year, and excitement continues to build. The Nitesh Tiwari-directed epic has reportedly completed the edit for its first installment. According to Pinkvilla, the team will now focus on VFX, dedicating the next 300 days to perfecting the visuals.

“Although shooting wrapped up in June 2025, director Nitesh Tiwari has locked the edit for Part One, including the run time and sequence lineup. The first round of VFX is also complete, and the final edit is now moving into an extended post-production phase,” a source revealed.

The insider added that producer Namit Malhotra and his team plan to finalize the cut by Summer 2026, paving the way for a Diwali release. A detailed marketing campaign will roll out throughout the year, establishing Ramayana as one of the biggest Indian cinematic events. Meanwhile, shooting for Part Two is expected to conclude by mid-2026, with about 75% of its post-production completed even before the first part hits theatres.
