Saudi Arabia and the United States on Wednesday signed the Strategic Artificial Intelligence Partnership, with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio officiating the agreement.

The Saudi Press Agency described the partnership as a historic milestone, strengthening the strategic relationship between the two nations. The announcement came during Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s state visit to the White House, where he met US President Donald Trump and senior officials on Tuesday.

The partnership seeks to harness Saudi Arabia’s advantages in land, energy, and geography to establish AI technology clusters that can meet local, regional, and global demand, while leveraging the US technology ecosystem to drive innovation and economic growth.

The agreement covers the supply of advanced semiconductors, development of AI applications, construction of state-of-the-art AI infrastructure, and building national capabilities. It also aims to expand high-value investments in both countries.

Officials said the collaboration will boost productivity, innovation, and economic and social benefits, reflecting a long-term commitment to advancing technological development. The partnership is expected to strengthen economic ties between Saudi and American companies across emerging technologies, with applications in sectors including health, education, energy, mining, and transportation.
