Delhi SWAT Officer Kajal Chaudhary Killed by Husband; Brother Recalls Her Final Screams

The brother of Kajal Chaudhary, a Delhi SWAT commando, has shared chilling details of his sister’s last phone call before she was killed by her husband, Ankur. Nikhil Chaudhary, a constable at Parliament Street Police Station, told PTI that Ankur asked him to record the call, saying it would serve as police evidence, and threatened: “Main maar raha hoon teri behan ko. Police mera kuch nahi kar payegi” (I am killing your sister. Police can’t do anything). Nikhil said he could hear Kajal screaming before the call abruptly ended.

Minutes later, Ankur called again, claiming: “Ye mar gayi hai. Hospital aajao” (She is dead. Come to the hospital). When Nikhil arrived with police, Ankur and his family were already there. Kajal, four months pregnant and mother of a one-and-a-half-year-old, had suffered severe injuries, including head trauma from a dumbbell strike.

Her family alleged dowry harassment and abuse by her husband and in-laws, which began within 15 days of marriage. Kajal had moved to Delhi in 2024, but Ankur’s abuse continued.

Ankur was arrested the same night and booked for murder.
