Trolls target Deepika Padukone for skipping post on Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2, fans respond: “Not everything is online”

The success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge has been widely celebrated across the film industry, with stars like Alia Bhatt, S. S. Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Ram Gopal Varma congratulating director Aditya Dhar and actor Ranveer Singh for the film’s record-breaking box office run.

However, over the weekend, Deepika Padukone faced trolling on social media for not posting publicly about the film or her husband’s performance. A viral meme questioned her “silence,” with some users criticising her and even labelling her “jealous.”

Fans, however, rallied in her support, pushing back against the criticism. Many pointed out that public social media posts are not the only way to show support, especially for a couple that lives together. Others argued that expecting validation through Instagram posts reflects misplaced priorities.

Several users also highlighted that Ranveer devoted years to the film while sharing major personal milestones with Deepika during that time, underscoring their mutual support away from the public eye.

While Deepika has not posted about the film online, she was recently seen alongside Ranveer in Mumbai, with the couple stepping out for lunch and interacting with fans—offering a quieter but visible show of solidarity.
