Conspiracy to shield Nashik godman, claim parents of TCS case accused Nida Khan

The parents of Nida Khan, one of the accused in the TCS Nashik sexual harassment and forced conversion case, have alleged that the charges against her are fabricated and politically motivated.

Speaking to India Today TV, her father said all allegations were false and claimed his daughter was being targeted as part of a larger conspiracy. The family also linked the case to an attempt to divert attention from the controversy surrounding self-styled Nashik godman Ashok Kharat, who was recently arrested on rape charges.

Nida Khan’s parents and uncle denied all accusations, stating she had no interaction with the complainant. They said she is currently staying at her in-laws’ home in Bhiwandi, is pregnant, and that the family is deeply distressed by the situation. They also maintained that she never pressured anyone to convert or made remarks against any religion, stressing that the family respects all faiths.

Meanwhile, her husband has been detained by Nashik police for questioning, according to sources. He reportedly told investigators he had limited knowledge of her activities. The couple had been living in Mumbra for the past two months, while Nida previously resided in Nashik and Bhiwandi.

What is the case about?
The TCS conversion case has sparked nationwide concern, with complaints alleging that the accused operated as a group targeting women employees aged 18 to 25. So far, nine FIRs have been registered, including one by a male employee alleging religious harassment and attempted conversion.

The complaints include allegations of abuse of Hindu deities, forced consumption of non-vegetarian food, coercion to follow specific religious practices, and other forms of harassment.

Eight people have been arrested so far — seven men and one woman. Police allege that some of the accused held senior positions and misused their authority to harass colleagues. One officer claimed that Nida Khan discouraged a woman employee from filing a complaint, allegedly saying such incidents were routine.

Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran has termed the allegations “gravely concerning and distressing,” adding that a detailed internal probe is being led by TCS COO Arathi Subramanian to establish the facts and fix accountability.
