Ayushmann Khurrana has addressed growing chatter around Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, clarifying that the film does not promote infidelity and is designed as a light-hearted family entertainer.

The trailer of the film, which also stars Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Wamiqa Gabbi, was launched at a grand event, drawing attention for its chaotic comedy storyline.

Speaking at the event, Ayushmann praised director Mudassar Aziz for his storytelling approach, saying the film goes beyond a typical rom-com. “The way Mudassar has woven this classic, iconic story is brilliant. It’s not a typical rom-com; there’s more comedy in the film,” he said.

Responding to criticism that the film promotes infidelity, he firmly denied the claims. “We are not promoting infidelity because it’s a family film. Everyone will enjoy watching this film; it’s a comedy of errors,” Ayushmann said, adding that the focus is on humour and situational chaos rather than relationship messaging.

He also shared a personal note, saying he prefers films suitable for family viewing. “I took my kids to the edit suite during post-production and they loved it. When kids enjoy it, it becomes a wholesome family film,” he said.

About the trailer

The trailer introduces Ayushmann as Prajapati Pandey, a simple forest officer whose life spirals into confusion after a well-meaning act entangles him with three women, played by Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi and Rakul Preet Singh.

As misunderstandings multiply, the story escalates into a full-blown comedy of errors, further heightened by Vijay Raaz as a strict cop.
