Dhamaal 4 Eyes ₹16 Crore Opening, Set to Rank Among Ajay Devgn’s Biggest Day 1 Collections.
Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 is expected to make a strong start at the box office, with trade estimates predicting an opening-day collection of ₹15-16 crore. While the comedy entertainer is likely to outperform several of the actor’s biggest hits on Day 1, it may narrowly miss the opening record of Total Dhamaal, the previous instalment in the franchise.
Advance Bookings Off to a Promising Start
The film has registered encouraging advance sales ahead of its July 10 release. By Thursday morning, Dhamaal 4 had sold over 60,000 tickets for its opening day, generating more than ₹1.65 crore in advance bookings. Including block bookings, the total pre-release collection had crossed ₹5 crore.
Despite comedy films traditionally relying more on spot bookings than pre-sales, the advance booking trend indicates healthy audience interest, with ticket sales expected to rise further before release.
No Major Box Office Competition
One of the biggest advantages for Dhamaal 4 is the lack of strong competition. Last week’s release, Alpha, has witnessed a sharp drop in collections, leaving the box office largely open for the comedy franchise.
Trade experts believe the film could collect ₹15-16 crore on its opening day, although some estimates remain more conservative at around ₹13 crore.
If the higher projections materialise, Dhamaal 4 will surpass the opening-day collections of Tanhaji (₹15.10 crore) and Drishyam 2 (₹15.50 crore), making it one of the strongest starts of Ajay Devgn’s career. However, it is still expected to finish just below Total Dhamaal, which opened with ₹16.50 crore in 2019.
Star-Studded Comedy Returns
Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 brings together a large ensemble cast featuring Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Esha Gupta and Vijay Patkar.
Releasing in theatres on July 10, the film is banking on the popularity of the Dhamaal franchise and positive word of mouth to deliver another box-office success. A strong opening weekend will be crucial in determining whether it can replicate the commercial success of its predecessors
