Yash’s much-awaited Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups trailer has finally been released, and it has sent fans into a frenzy.
While the actor’s dark and intense avatar as Raya has become a major talking point, the trailer has also sparked fresh excitement around his upcoming role as Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana.
Released on Saturday evening, the trailer offers a glimpse into the film’s gritty and violent world while showcasing Yash in a powerful dual role. He plays Raya as well as his son Rumi, popularly known as Ticket. The actor dominates several high-energy moments, while the trailer also introduces key characters played by Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.
Fans quickly took to social media to praise Yash’s screen presence and the film’s darker treatment. Reactions ranged from “This looks much darker than we imagined 💀” to “Starting Hi Goosebumps Se Ho Gayi 😱😱.”
Yash’s portrayal of Raya also prompted fans to imagine him as Ravana. One fan wrote, “I am excited for Yash as Ravana ☠️🗿,” while another commented, “Imagine him as Ravana now.” A third fan summed up the excitement by saying, “Yash as Raya hit and Yash as Ravana superhit.”

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has been shot in Kannada and English and will be released in dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on August 26, 2026.
With Toxic already creating a buzz, Yash’s intense transformation has given fans another reason to eagerly await his portrayal of Ravana in Ramayana.
