Awarapan 2 Box Office Day 3: Emraan Hashmi Starrer Rakes In ₹110.10 Crore Worldwide

Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 has made a strong impact at the box office, crossing the ₹100 crore worldwide mark within its opening weekend. The film earned ₹31.20 crore gross in India on Sunday, while its overseas collection for Day 3 stood at ₹4 crore.

The film’s India gross has reached ₹98.10 crore after three days, according to Sacnilk. With ₹12 crore collected from international markets during the opening weekend, the sequel has taken its worldwide total to ₹110.10 crore.

The Sunday collection came after a particularly strong Saturday, when Awarapan 2 earned ₹40.50 crore. Although Day 3 saw a 23% decline, the film still managed to outperform its opening-day collection of ₹26.40 crore.

Emraan Hashmi Returns as Shivam

Nearly two decades after the original Awarapan, Emraan Hashmi has reprised his role as Shivam Pandit in the sequel. His return to the character has emerged as one of the key highlights of the film.

Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt, Awarapan 2 stars Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi, with Puran Gabbi, Anirudh Rawal, Surendar Vicky, Vijayant Kohli and Atul Kumar in supporting roles.

Hashmi’s Performance Draws Praise

Emraan Hashmi’s portrayal of the older Shivam has also received positive attention. News18 awarded the film three stars and praised the actor for presenting Shivam as a character shaped by years of pain rather than attempting to recreate his younger version from the 2007 film.

The review highlighted Hashmi’s expressive performance, particularly the way he communicates Shivam’s emotions through his eyes and expressions. His transition from a wounded man to a ruthless fighter was also described as convincing.

Strong Opening Weekend

With ₹98.10 crore from India and ₹12 crore from overseas markets, Awarapan 2 has posted a worldwide opening-weekend collection of ₹110.10 crore.

The film’s performance over the coming weekdays will be crucial in determining whether it can sustain its momentum and emerge as one of Emraan Hashmi’s biggest box office successes.
