Mirzapur The Movie Review and Rating: The highly anticipated prequel to Amazon Prime Video’s Mirzapur has finally hit theatres, bringing the franchise’s familiar mix of crime, action, dark humour and intense drama to the big screen.

The film features several popular faces from the franchise, including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu, Shweta Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Ravi Kishan and Shriya Pilgaonkar. Taran Adarsh Gives Strong Verdict

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has given Mirzapur The Movie a positive early review, calling it a “winner” and praising its mass appeal.

He said the film manages to expand the world of the hit series rather than simply presenting a long episode on the big screen. According to his review, the movie feels more cinematic and ambitious while preserving the raw attitude and distinctive flavour of the original franchise.

Adarsh also praised the screenplay and dialogues, saying the confrontations carry plenty of tension and several exchanges have the potential to become audience favourites.

Director Gurmmeet Singh was credited for effectively combining action, humour, emotion and drama while keeping the core identity of Mirzapur intact.

Second Half Has Some Lulls

Despite the largely positive response, Adarsh pointed out that the movie loses some pace at the start of its second half.

He felt the latter portion could have been trimmed, but said the film regains momentum during the pre-climax and climax, particularly during the sequences filmed against the Jaisalmer sand dunes.

The conclusion involving Guddu Pandit and Munna Tripathi was also highlighted for its comic moments. The ending reportedly leaves a clear opening for another instalment in the Mirzapur universe.
