Sofia Hayat Takes Aim at Salman Khan Over Shirtless Bigg Boss 20 Appearance, Recalls His Body-Shaming Remark

Former Bigg Boss contestant Sofia Hayat has taken aim at Salman Khan after his shirtless appearance on the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode.

While Salman used the moment to respond to online trolling over his age, weight and appearance, Sofia brought up comments she says the actor made about her body during her own stint on the reality show. Sofia, who was a contestant on Bigg Boss 7, reacted to a video from the episode on X on September 20. Sharing the clip of Salman removing his shirt, she accused the actor of hypocrisy and recalled her experience on the show.

Sofia Hayat Revisits Her Bigg Boss Experience

In her post, Sofia alleged that Salman had criticised her body and face during Bigg Boss, while complimenting Gauahar Khan’s physique.

She wrote, “SALMAN is an hypocritical idiot. When I was in Bigg Boss he criticised my body and face..and told Gauhar (Khan) her body was good. Argh.”

The post came shortly after Salman addressed the comments he has been receiving about his appearance. During Weekend Ka Vaar, the actor removed his hat and shirt while speaking about the constant scrutiny faced by celebrities over their looks.

The gesture drew praise from several viewers, who saw it as Salman’s response to those trolling him over his age and weight. Sofia, however, used the episode to highlight what she described as a contradiction between his current message and her earlier experience on Bigg Boss.

Salman Addresses Body-Shaming

Salman also spoke about body-shaming more broadly during the episode, particularly the criticism women can face after pregnancy.

“Why do you troll somebody who gets pregnant?” he asked, questioning the practice of commenting on women’s changing bodies after childbirth.

He noted that weight gain is a natural part of pregnancy and said women should be given time to recover and spend time with their families before returning to work.

“Pregnant hone ke baad everyone puts on weight. Jab woh picture mein wapas aa jayengi, woh fit aa jayengi,” he said.

Katrina Kaif’s Appearance Sparks Online Debate

Salman’s remarks came as social media was already discussing Katrina Kaif’s recent appearance at the Ambani family’s Ganpati celebrations. Katrina attended the event with husband Vicky Kaushal, and images and videos from the gathering prompted online comments about her appearance.

Although Salman did not directly refer to Katrina, his comments about body-shaming came amid the wider social media conversation surrounding the actor’s appearance.
