Pakistan cricketer Umar Akmal has paid an emotional tribute to veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar, remembering his lasting influence and contribution through a heartfelt social media post. Reports Detail Nana Patekar’s Final Hours
According to the supplied report, Patekar was at his residence in Goa when he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was reportedly found unconscious and taken to Manipal Hospital, where doctors attempted to revive him.
Medical staff allegedly performed CPR for around 45 minutes, but their efforts were unsuccessful. The report stated that he was declared dead at approximately 5:20 am.
Family and Prominent Personalities Bid Farewell
Patekar’s mortal remains were reportedly brought to Pune on Thursday evening and subsequently taken to his farmhouse in Donje, near Khadakwasla, for the last rites.
Family members gathered to pay their final respects, while several prominent personalities were also reported to have attended the farewell. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and actor Jackie Shroff were among those named in reports about the ceremony.
The reported last rites were conducted at the farmhouse with full state honours.

Patekar continued to feature in a range of film and digital projects in recent years. His film credits included Vanvaas (2024) and Housefull 5 (2025).
He was also associated with Vishal Bhardwaj’s O’ Romeo, released in February 2026, featuring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri. In the film, he reportedly played Ismail Khan, the chief of the Mumbai Intelligence Bureau.
