CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke, Two Party Leaders Detained From Aircraft at Delhi Airport

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke and party leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were detained from an aircraft at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on Saturday, ahead of the party’s planned protest at Jantar Mantar.

Delhi Police personnel boarded the aircraft after it landed at the airport, leading to a heated exchange between the officers and the CJP leaders. The party members questioned the police for entering the plane before they had disembarked.

Abhijeet Dipke Accuses Police of ‘Dictatorship’

In a video shared by Dipke, he was seen confronting the police personnel over their presence inside the aircraft.

“You can see where the nation is heading. They are here to arrest us directly from the flight. This is something not even Indira Gandhi had done. This is dictatorship. Delhi Police have entered the flight and are trying to arrest us,” Dipke said.

He then challenged the personnel to take him into custody, saying, “Please come, I have come here to be arrested; arrest me.”

A police personnel responded, “No, this is not an arrest. Please cooperate.”

‘You Could Have Waited Till We Came Out’

The video showed a commotion inside the aircraft as Dipke and the other CJP members questioned why the police had boarded the plane instead of waiting for them to exit.

Addressing the women police personnel inside the aircraft, Dipke said they could have waited until the leaders had disembarked.

“You could have waited till we came out. Come arrest us; we are not afraid,” he was heard saying.

Dipke shared the footage on social media, showing the interaction with police ahead of the CJP’s planned demonstration at Jantar Mantar on Saturday.
