Sanjay Dutt Congratulates 21-Year-Old Producer as ‘Hanuman Ansh’ Scores ₹435 Crore Worldwide

From a modest opening-day collection of just ₹10 lakh to a reported worldwide box office haul exceeding ₹435 crore, Hanuman Ansh has witnessed an extraordinary turnaround. The film’s success has impressed Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt, who recently praised its 21-year-old producer, Anupriya Nagar, for achieving such a milestone at a young age.

Sanjay shared a special message on Instagram, applauding Anupriya’s contribution to the film and expressing confidence in her future as a producer. He also assured her that he would continue supporting her upcoming projects.

Posting a photograph with the young producer, the actor described her accomplishment as remarkable, drawing on his experience of witnessing films succeed and fail over the years.

“I’ve seen films come and go, and some make history. But what you’ve achieved for @hanumanansh at just 21 is truly remarkable! @anupriyanagar2709,” Sanjay wrote.

He also acknowledged the passion and collective effort behind the film’s success, noting how a relatively small production had managed to reach a vast audience.

“It takes passion to turn a small film into something so big, and the way you’ve brought people together, with everyone’s blessings, is outstanding!” he added.

Sanjay concluded his note with a message of encouragement, expressing pride in Anupriya’s achievement and promising to stand by her in future ventures.

“God bless you, bachcha. I’m so proud of you and will always stand by you in all your projects. Your story has only just begun,” the actor wrote.

The Story Behind ‘Hanuman Ansh’

Helmed by writer-director Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh draws inspiration from his book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life. The film explores the life and spiritual influence of Neeb Karori Baba, popularly known as Neem Karoli Baba, who was renowned for his devotion to Lord Hanuman.

Actor Shobhinaw Satyaa plays the central character. His performance has been noted for its restrained and natural presentation of the spiritual figure, avoiding excessive dramatization and exaggerated expressions.

The film’s spiritual theme, combined with growing audience interest, has helped it attract viewers well beyond its initial theatrical audience.

How a ₹2 Crore Film Turned Into a Box Office Success

When Hanuman Ansh arrived in cinemas on August 7, 2026, its early performance gave little indication of the commercial success it would eventually achieve. Made on a reported budget of ₹2 crore, the film earned approximately ₹10 lakh on its opening day.

Its collections remained limited during the first two weeks, reportedly reaching around ₹1.5 crore. The trend began to change in the third week, when recommendations from viewers started bringing more people to theatres.

As discussions about the film spread across social media, word of mouth became a major factor in its growing popularity. The gradual increase in audience interest helped the film register a remarkable rise in collections.

By mid-October, Hanuman Ansh had reportedly generated more than ₹395.83 crore in domestic gross revenue. Its worldwide box office total has now crossed ₹435 crore, with its domestic earnings nearing ₹400 crore.

The film has consequently emerged as one of the biggest Indian box office performers of 2026, reportedly trailing Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

Young Producer Draws Industry Attention

The film’s reported earnings stand in sharp contrast to its limited production budget and modest opening. Its performance has also placed Anupriya Nagar in the spotlight, with Sanjay Dutt’s public endorsement bringing further attention to her work.

The actor’s message recognised not only the scale of the film’s reported success but also the determination required to turn a small-budget project into a widely watched release.

With Hanuman Ansh continuing to attract attention for its box office journey, the film’s success has become a prominent example of how audience recommendations can help a production gain momentum after a slow start.
