Gurpreet Ghuggi Breaks Silence on Love Gill Rumours, Expresses Concern and Plans Legal Action

Punjabi entertainment personality Gurpreet Ghuggi has reacted to the controversy surrounding allegations connecting him with Bigg Boss 20 contestant Love Gill. After days of speculation on social media, the actor has finally addressed the issue, dismissing the claims as baseless and suggesting that a deliberate campaign is being conducted to damage his reputation.

The controversy reportedly dates back to their association during the Punjabi film Furlow. Over time, several unverified claims involving an alleged relationship, pregnancy and a ₹5 crore settlement began circulating online. Ghuggi has strongly rejected these allegations.

In a video statement released on October 29, the comedian spoke about the situation, expressed concern about its possible impact on Love Gill and indicated that he was prepared to seek legal remedies against those spreading misleading information.

Speaking in Punjabi in his social media video, Ghuggi suggested that the controversy could be part of an agenda targeting him. However, he also highlighted the possible consequences for Love Gill, pointing out that she is at the beginning of her professional journey and has a family.

He said, “Today, when we are able to speak, we will definitely talk about it. But I would like to say that it is possible that there was an agenda against me. But if that girl, who has just started her career, who has a family, what will be her condition today?”

The actor urged people to consider the human consequences of circulating personal allegations without establishing whether they are true.

Ghuggi also addressed Love Gill’s silence amid the controversy. He said he had made enquiries about her condition and suggested that the situation might be emotionally difficult for her.

Describing himself as mentally strong, he said his primary concern was that the ongoing speculation should not cause serious harm to the young contestant.

He stated, “I am a strong person. I am mentally strong. I am not the kind of person who will die in the process of committing suicide. I don’t know if I have been destroyed. But I am a human being. If this affects that girl, if her life is in danger, then what will you think? What have we achieved?”

His remarks focused on the potential damage that unverified online claims can cause to individuals and their families.

The comedian also indicated that he was ready to take legal action against those responsible for spreading the allegations.

Calling the controversy baseless, Ghuggi said he had faith in the authorities and expected the police to look into the matter. He made it clear that the issue could eventually be taken before a court.
He said, “I don’t want to talk much here. I just want to say that I am thankful to those who have shown tolerance to this issue. This is a baseless issue. It is a matter of revelation. It is a matter of head and foot. I don’t know who will take care of it, but the police will do their job. We will definitely move it to court.”

He also expressed gratitude to his family, friends and members of the Punjabi film industry who supported him during the controversy.
