“Aesthetics of a New Era: Spring Riga Fashion Week Image Revealed”

The Baltic Fashion Federation, organisers of Riga Fashion Week, has unveiled the official visual identity for its Spring 2026 edition, set to take place in mid-April.

This season’s concept presents a contemporary woman who seamlessly blends romanticism with strength, and tradition with avant-garde expression.

The look was created by renowned Latvian stylist and art director Anatoly Ksenofontov, who drew inspiration from the evolving idea of femininity. “The image reflects the aesthetics of a ‘new era’ — where couture heritage meets digital futurism. Classicism no longer opposes experimentation; it becomes its foundation,” he explained.

At the heart of the styling is a voluminous white dress by Latvian designer Anna Gulbe, evoking a subtle bridal essence. While traditionally symbolising purity and beginnings, in its 2026 interpretation, the dress becomes a blank canvas for self-expression. Layered over it is a structured corset, representing inner strength and control — not as restriction, but as discipline and empowerment. The striking presence of model Alisa Ontensone further amplifies the visual contrasts.

Photographed by Polina Vijun, the campaign highlights the central piece — a Cloud Dancer-toned dress, a shade officially recognised by Pantone as the Color of the Year 2026. The overall imagery reflects fashion’s timeless duality — constantly evolving while remaining inherently recognizable. It is expressive, slightly daring, and effortlessly free.

The main partners of Riga Fashion Week include the State Culture Capital Foundation and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia.
