BSP Commemorates Ambedkar Day; Akash Anand Takes Charge in Noida as Mayawati Stays Away.
The Bahujan Samaj Party is holding major events in Noida and Lucknow today to mark Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s death anniversary, but Mayawati will not attend either program. She will instead pay tribute from her Delhi residence.
In Noida, Akash Anand will lead the event, joined by workers from six divisions, with a crowd of around 50,000 expected. In Lucknow, 18 divisions will gather at Ambedkar Park under Munakad Ali and state president Vishwanath Pal.
Akash Anand in the Spotlight
The Noida program being entirely managed by Akash Anand signals the BSP’s strategy to position him as a prominent public face. Sources say this is aimed at:
- Strengthening Akash’s influence in western UP, especially Noida.
- Giving him independent command over major party events.
Continuing Mayawati’s approach of controlled political messaging by often avoiding large crowds.
With this move, the BSP has clearly indicated that Akash Anand’s rise within the party is gaining momentum, while Mayawati maintains a strategic distance.
