Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna escape unhurt as SUV, convoy involved in Juhu accident.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle Khanna were involved in a road accident on Monday evening in Juhu, Mumbai, shortly after returning from an overseas trip celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. The mishap occurred while the couple was travelling from the airport to their residence, causing a brief scene of panic among onlookers.
Initial reports indicate that a speeding Mercedes collided with an auto rickshaw, which then crashed into a vehicle from Akshay’s security convoy, ultimately striking the actor’s SUV near Silver Beach café.
Despite the impact, there were no serious injuries. The auto driver and passenger, momentarily trapped, were rescued quickly. Eyewitnesses reported that Akshay immediately jumped out of his SUV, assisted by his staff, to help lift the auto and pull the occupants to safety before medical aid arrived. “It was scary to see the accident but thankfully everyone is safe,” said one witness.
The incident caused minor traffic congestion but left all involved unharmed. The accident came just hours after the couple returned from their celebratory trip abroad, where they shared moments like paragliding and heartfelt anniversary messages on social media.
