Ameesha Patel has joined the list of celebrities celebrating the success of Dhurandhar, singling out her Humraaz co-star Akshaye Khanna for special praise. On X (formerly Twitter), she lauded Khanna for letting his performances — rather than publicity — do the talking.

“If you want to trend on social media, talk about AKSHAYE KHANNA. If you want your film to run, take AKSHAYE KHANNA… seems like Brand AKSHAYE has finally opened the eyes of all who were blind for years. Proud of you, Akshu, for slapping everyone with your performances, not PR,” she wrote.

The post quickly went viral, with fans applauding Khanna’s consistent screen presence. The actor has enjoyed a remarkable run with hits like Chhaava and now Dhurandhar, reinforcing his reputation as one of Bollywood’s most reliable performers.

Dhurandhar’s Box Office Triumph
Dhurandhar continues to dominate the box office, becoming one of the biggest Hindi blockbusters of the year. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film’s collections surged in its second week, defying typical trends. On Day 11, it added an estimated ₹30 crore net in India, maintaining strong occupancy across shows.

The second Sunday marked a turning point, with the film minting ₹58 crore net and closing the weekend with a domestic total of ₹143.50 crore — a rare 40% jump from its opening weekend. With Monday’s figures, Dhurandhar now stands at approximately ₹380 crore net in India, surpassing Dangal’s domestic Hindi record of ₹374.43 crore.

The film stars Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian spy infiltrating Pakistan’s Lyari region to dismantle ISI-backed terror networks. It has been praised for its gritty action and narrative, with standout performances from Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, and Rakesh Bedi. Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal also deliver notable performances, adding depth to the ensemble.
