Ankita Lokhande Opens Up On ‘Groupism’ In Bollywood, Elvish Yadav Tells Her ‘Karan Johar Ko…’

Ankita Lokhande and her husband, Vicky Jain, recently appeared on Elvish Yadav’s podcast when they talked about groupism in Bollywood.

During their conversation, the YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner asked if the film industry is biased towards some people. Ankita explained that even though people aren’t biased, they prefer working with those they already know.

“Not biased, but yes there are people who want to take their own people to go forward. There’s groupism,” Ankita said. Elvish interrupted her in between and took a dig at Karan Johar. “Karan Johar ko aisa mat bolo,” he said.

However, As soon as Elvish took KJo’s name, Ankita quickly replied, “Everyone is like that, not just Karan. I think everyone has their own group.”

Ankita’s husband, Vicky Jain also mentioned that people in the film industry prefer to work with people they already know and therefore do not want to give a chance to an outsider.

Ankita Lokhande is a popular name in the showbiz world. She made her acting debut with the show Pavitra Rishta. It turned out to be a super hit. In the show, Ankita played the role of Archana and her chemistry with ‘Manav’ Sushant Singh Rajput was widely loved by all.

After her successful stint in television, Ankita also stepped into films. She has repeatedly impressed fans with her powerful performances in films like Baaghi 3 and Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. She was most recently seen in the film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar alongside Randeep Hooda. In 2023, Ankita also ventured into the world of reality TV, where she participated in Bigg Boss 17 with her husband, Vicky Jain.

Ankita is currently gearing up to play the iconic Amrapali, a royal dancer from ancient Vaishali, in Sandeep Singh’s upcoming web series Amrapali. She is currently also seen in the second season of Laughter Chefs.
