Anthropic CEO’s Wife Asked Epstein to Fund Her ‘Luxury Porn’ Business, Report Says

Cami Clark, the wife of Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei and a close strategic adviser to him, reportedly approached convicted sex offender.

Jeffrey Epstein about investing in an adult entertainment venture aimed at women, according to The Wall Street Journal and emails from the Epstein files.

Clark was introduced to Epstein in March 2011 by literary agent John Brockman. After Brockman suggested a dinner meeting, Clark contacted Epstein and shared details about the business, including its funding needs and plans for a series of films.

In one email, Clark sent Epstein the script and treatment for four planned films, noting that the material was “a little NSFW.” The following year, she again asked Epstein whether he would consider investing in businesses she was developing with a colleague.

The emails provide no indication that Epstein ultimately invested in the venture. In a separate exchange, he reportedly replied that he could not invest in a television project involving sexual content. Clark later invited him to a housewarming party in July 2012, although the correspondence does not establish that they met again.

Cami Clark’s Role

Clark has been described as a sounding board and strategic adviser to Amodei, although she has no formal position at Anthropic. She has accompanied her husband to prominent technology and business events and has reportedly interacted with investors at gatherings such as the Allen & Co. conference in Sun Valley.

She also accompanied Amodei during his visit to New Delhi for the AI Impact Summit, where participating executives were permitted to bring an additional guest.

Clark previously worked as Amodei’s strategic adviser when he was at OpenAI. She introduced him to former Google CEO Eric Schmidt in 2018, a relationship that later became significant for Anthropic’s early funding.

Amodei, his sister Daniela and several colleagues left OpenAI in 2020 to establish Anthropic. Schmidt subsequently became an early backer of the AI company and participated in its $124 million Series A funding round announced in May 2021.

Clark, who was born in Nevada in 1979, married Amodei in 2022. She had previously dated Schmidt for several years.
