Anurag Kashyap Says Ananya Panday Took Nepotism Criticism Seriously, Calls Her a Risk-Taker.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap recently lauded Ananya Panday’s evolution in Bollywood, calling her one of his favourite “nepo kids.” In an interview with The Juggernaut, Kashyap said Panday has changed significantly since actor Siddhant Chaturvedi’s viral remark on nepotism during a past interview.

“She took that comment very personally — something flipped inside her,” Kashyap said, referring to Chaturvedi’s quote: “Our struggle begins where yours ends.” He believes that moment sparked a turning point in her career.

Highlighting her performances in Gehraiyaan, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, and CNTRL, Kashyap added, “She’s not playing it safe. She’s experimenting, taking risks, and showing maturity. She’s on a journey to find herself — and doing great work.”

Kashyap also named Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Ayan Mukerji as his other top industry insiders who have carved their own paths.
