Arjun Rampal appears to be celebrating more than just the blockbuster success of Dhurandhar.
As the film races towards the ₹300-crore mark, the actor quietly confirmed a major personal milestone — his engagement to longtime partner Gabriella Demetriades.
Rampal revealed the news during an appearance on Rhea Chakraborty’s new podcast, Chapter 2. What began as a candid conversation about love and relationships turned into an unexpected on-camera announcement, with no build-up or planned reveal.
The moment surfaced after Rhea shared a teaser from the episode. While discussing marriage, Gabriella remarked, “We’re not married now, but who knows?” — prompting Rampal to interject with a smile, “We are engaged! We just broke it on your show.” The spontaneous exchange instantly caught attention online.
Inside Arjun Rampal and Gabriella’s candid conversation
The couple, who have been together since 2019 and share two sons, Arik and Ariv, spoke openly about their relationship, parenting and emotional growth. Gabriella reflected on how becoming a parent reshaped her understanding of love, saying, “Your love comes with conditions… but when you have a child, you can’t do that, right?”
Rampal also opened up about personal loss, recalling the death of his mother Gwen in 2018. “Nobody can prepare you for losing a parent. I always say it’s like losing a limb,” he said, describing the impact of grief and the importance of support during that time.
The conversation took a lighter turn when Gabriella joked that she didn’t make the first move because Rampal was “really hot.” Laughing, the actor responded candidly, “No, no. I went after her because she was hot — then I realised there was a little more to it than just the hotness.”
A new chapter
Though Rampal and Gabriella have largely kept their relationship private over the years, the engagement reveal comes at a moment when the actor’s professional life is also in focus. In Dhurandhar, Rampal plays Major Iqbal, a performance that has drawn attention amid the film’s strong box office run.
Rampal was previously married to former supermodel Mehr Jesia. The couple tied the knot in 1998 and separated in 2018 after two decades together. They continue to share a cordial co-parenting relationship for their daughters, Mahikaa and Myra.
