Planning a bank visit today? You might have to wait. As per the RBI’s holiday schedule, banks remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month, along with Sundays.

Today, August 9, is the second Saturday, so all public and private sector banks across India are closed. In several states, the closure also marks Raksha Bandhan / Jhulana Purnima, including Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Dehradun, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Shimla, and Bhubaneswar.
