Australia Announce ODI and T20I Squads for Series vs India: Rohit-Kohli Return.

Australia have named their 15-member ODI squad for the upcoming series against India, set to begin on October 19. The series will see the return of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to the Indian lineup. Mitchell Marsh will captain Australia in the absence of Pat Cummins, who is still recovering from a lower back injury.

Major Changes in the Squad

Middle-order batter Marnus Labuschagne, a key contributor to Australia’s 2023 ODI World Cup triumph, has been dropped due to poor form. Star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has also been left out of both the ODI and T20I squads as he recovers from a wrist fracture, with a return expected in the Big Bash League.

Cameron Green returns to the ODI squad following an injury break, although he will miss the T20Is to focus on Ashes preparation. The 26-year-old recently bowled for the first time since back surgery, picking up one wicket in a Sheffield Shield game.
