Yuvraj Singh, Robin Uthappa, Sonu Sood to Face ED in Betting Apps Case.

Former India cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Robin Uthappa, along with actor Sonu Sood, have been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in its probe into illegal betting platforms, including 1xBet. Uthappa has been asked to appear on Monday, Yuvraj on Tuesday, and Sood on Wednesday.

The three join a widening list of public figures under the scanner, including Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Urvashi Rautela, and Trinamool MP Mimi Chakraborty. The ED is probing allegations of money laundering and tax evasion by 1xBet, which was frequently promoted during live cricket broadcasts.

Sources said investigators are focusing on whether celebrities knowingly endorsed betting apps that rebranded repeatedly — such as 1xBat — to evade Indian law. Officials allege these platforms disguised themselves as skill-gaming sites but in reality ran gambling operations using rigged algorithms.

Last week, Dhawan was questioned for over eight hours, while Chakraborty’s statement was recorded on Monday. Raina and Harbhajan were also grilled earlier this year.
