Shefali Jariwala, ‘Kaanta Laga’ Star and Bigg Boss Fame, Dies at 42 in Mumbai
Shefali Jariwala, the popular actress and dancer who shot to fame with the 2002 music video ‘Kaanta Laga’, passed away late Friday night in Mumbai. She was 42. According to sources, her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, rushed her to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival. The exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed by the family.
Jariwala became a household name after ‘Kaanta Laga’ became a massive hit, earning her the nickname “Kaanta Laga Girl.” Her fame only grew with her participation in Bigg Boss 13, where her grace under pressure and honest approach won her many fans.
Over the years, she appeared in several television and film projects. In 2004, she had a cameo in the Bollywood film ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’, starring Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. She also took part in dance reality show Nach Baliye alongside her husband during seasons 5 and 7.
Shefali married Parag Tyagi in 2015. The couple often shared glimpses of their personal life through social media, winning the hearts of their followers.
