Border 2 Box Office Day 10: Sunny Deol-Starrer Bounces Back, Nears Rs 400 Crore Worldwide

After a brief mid-week slowdown, Border 2 regained momentum at the box office on Day 10. The war drama, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, collected Rs 22.50 crore on Sunday, rebounding after its post-Republic Day dip.

The film’s total net collection in India now stands at Rs 277 crore, with domestic gross crossing Rs 330 crore. Worldwide, earnings have surpassed Rs 367 crore, edging closer to the Rs 400 crore mark. Jaipur led Sunday’s audience turnout with 61% occupancy, followed by Chennai at 43% and Delhi NCR at 39.5%. Mumbai recorded 31% occupancy.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is a sequel to JP Dutta’s 1997 classic Border and features Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, and Medha Rana in key roles.

Critics have praised the film’s scale and emotional core. News18 Showsha noted: “Border 2 is louder, more ambitious, and a modern extension of the original. While it doesn’t fully recreate the magic of 1997, it remains sincere, emotional, and unapologetically patriotic—a reminder that war films resonate because of the people behind the uniforms.”
