Britney Spears Returns to Instagram After Brief Exit, Says ‘So Much Has Happened This Year’
Britney Spears is back on Instagram, nearly a week after deactivating her account, which had left fans concerned. The pop star reappeared on the platform over the weekend, sharing a reflective post about her turbulent year.
“So much has happened this year, it’s crazy,” the 43-year-old singer wrote on Saturday, November 8, alongside a bold picture of herself. “I try to live within my means, and the book Draw the Circle is an incredible perspective. Get your ballerina, circle, and own your boundaries.”
‘It’s Important to Do You and Keep It Simple’
Spears continued her post with a note about self-reflection and simplicity: “It’s incredibly strict and somewhat of a form of prayer, but with so many endless possibilities in life, it’s important to do you and keep it simple. I know there is a confusing side, too. The devil is in the details, but we can get to that later.”
Her return follows a brief deactivation on November 2, when her profile displayed the message, “Profile isn’t available,” sparking speculation among fans.
Renewed Tension With Kevin Federline
Spears’ social media break came amid renewed public friction with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, who revisited their past in his memoir You Thought You Knew. The former couple, married from 2004 to 2006, share two sons — Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19.
In response to claims made in Kevin’s book about her parenting and behaviour, Spears accused him of “gaslighting” and profiting from her pain. “The constant gaslighting from the ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting,” she said, adding that she has always wanted a closer relationship with her sons.
A spokesperson for the singer told People that Spears’ main focus remains her children: “All she cares about are her kids and their well-being.”
