England Have Plans for Travis Head in Brisbane, Says Brydon Carse.

England pacer Brydon Carse has confirmed that the team has mapped out strategies to counter Travis Head if the Australian left-hander opens again in the second Ashes Test in Brisbane. Head’s 69-ball century in Perth, the second-fastest in Ashes history, propelled Australia to an eight-wicket victory inside two days.

“He played a phenomenal knock. If he opens the batting again, we’ve got plans ready,” Carse told reporters on December 1. He added that England’s overall mindset won’t change despite Head’s aggressive innings: “Whatever we’re presented with, we’ll stick to our plans.”

England Eye a Response
England, reeling from the Perth loss, aim to bounce back in Brisbane. Carse was a bright spot, taking five wickets despite the defeat, and could shoulder more responsibility, especially with Mark Wood’s fitness uncertain after missing training due to a knee issue.

“I’ll adapt to the situation,” Carse said. “Bowling under lights will bring new challenges, but the group is clear on our roles.” With Australia leading 1-0 and Head in form, England’s ability to execute their plans early in Brisbane could determine the competitiveness of the series.
