‘Masti 4’ Cleared With ‘A’ Certificate; CBFC Cuts Explicit Visuals, Alters Dialogues
Masti 4 has received an ‘A – Adults Only’ certificate after the CBFC directed the makers to carry out several changes. As per a Bollywood Hungama report, the censor board asked for dialogue modifications, including replacing one line, altering the word ‘behen’, and changing the name of an alcohol brand to a fictional one.
The board also ordered visual edits, notably the removal of a 9-second “top-angle animal humping” shot and a reduction of 30-second face close-ups.
The final runtime listed on the certificate is 144.17 minutes (about 2 hours 24 minutes).
Release & Cast
Releasing on November 21, Masti 4 reunites Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani, alongside Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Nargis Fakhri, Elnaaz Norouzi, Ruhi Singh, Shreya Sharma, and Shaad Randhawa.
The film is backed by Waveband Production, Zee Studios, Maruti International, and Balaji Telefilms.
Aftab Responds to Criticism
Aftab Shivdasani recently said the film does not aim to objectify women or glorify extramarital affairs.
“From the first Masti, people accused us of objectifying women. But the core idea has always been the same—three men step out, make mistakes, and eventually learn from their wives. We’ve never tried to preach. It’s entertainment. Many serious films have explored affairs, yet no one questions them,” he said.
