Former Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has shared details of her separation from husband Peter Haag, alleging.
That she was served a divorce notice under the pretext of collecting a gift for their 15th wedding anniversary. She also claimed that, despite having joint custody, she has been denied communication with her three children.
Taking to Instagram, Celina wrote, “I lost my children the day I chose to leave Austria to protect my dignity, my children & my brother. This is for all the men & women who reached out with their stories of abusive marriages. You are not alone.”
Celina said she left Austria on 11 October 2025, at 1 AM, with the help of neighbours, citing “systematic oppression and abuse.” She added that she returned to India with very little money and had to approach the courts to access a house she had purchased prior to her marriage, which her husband is allegedly claiming as his own.
She expressed heartbreak over being unable to communicate with her children: “Despite joint custody and a subsisting order of the Austrian Family Court, I am presently denied any communication with my three children. There has been repeated interference with my children’s access to me, including exposure to selective media narratives, and pressure to speak against me.”
Celina said that in early September, her husband served the divorce notice at a post office while pretending she was collecting an anniversary gift. She added, “Thereafter, I repeatedly and legally sought an amicable separation in good faith, prioritising the welfare of the children. These efforts were met with demands relating to my premarital assets and unreasonable conditions intended to strip me of my freedom and dignity, even after divorce.”
She concluded her post reflecting on the personal impact of the ordeal: “My entire world was snatched from me in one moment.”
