Charlie Kirk Shooting Suspect’s Roommate Cooperating With FBI, Sources Say.

Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old accused of fatally shooting conservative activist Charlie Kirk, was living with a transgender roommate who is now cooperating with federal investigators, law enforcement sources confirmed on Saturday.

The roommate, identified as 22-year-old Lance Twiggs, was reportedly in the process of transitioning and lived at the same address as Robinson. A relative of Twiggs confirmed their cohabitation, describing Twiggs as the “black sheep” of the family, while declining to comment on the nature of their relationship.

Investigators said Twiggs’s cooperation has been key to the probe. According to affidavits, text messages and communications provided to the FBI included discussions about bullet casings that matched those found at the crime scene, as well as instructions regarding a rifle later discovered in a wooded area.

Kirk, 31, was shot during his “American Comeback” speaking tour at Utah Valley University. Authorities recovered casings inscribed with phrases such as “Hey fascist, catch,” which were linked to a .30-06 Mauser bolt-action rifle found wrapped in a towel about 200 yards from where the shooting occurred.

Robinson later surrendered after being confronted by his father and speaking with a youth minister. Investigators are continuing to examine possible motives, including Robinson’s apparent shift toward far-left ideology despite being raised in a conservative Mormon household.

Authorities said they are exploring “every link, every group” connected to the shooting as the FBI investigation continues.
