Delhi Police Bust International Arms Racket Trafficking China- and Turkey-Made Weapons to India.

Delhi Police have uncovered a major international arms smuggling network that allegedly funneled sophisticated weapons manufactured in China and Turkey into India through Pakistan. The syndicate is believed to have links with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), officials said.

Four key members of the network have been arrested, and police have seized 10 high-end foreign pistols along with 92 live cartridges. According to investigators, these weapons were destined for criminal gangs operating in Delhi and neighbouring states.

The police are now verifying how many weapons the syndicate managed to push into India and identifying the criminal groups that may have purchased them. Security agencies are also examining mobile phones, bank transactions, and social media interactions to trace the racket’s wider network and cross-border collaborators.

The crackdown comes amid heightened security across Delhi following a deadly blast near the Red Fort on November 10. A Hyundai i20 driven by suicide bomber Umar un Nabi exploded near the historic monument, killing 15 people and injuring several others.

Just hours before the attack, the Jammu and Kashmir Police had announced the busting of a major interstate and transnational “white-collar” terror module linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, an al-Qaeda-affiliated outfit. Authorities also seized 2,900 kg of explosive material, including ammonium nitrate—believed to have been used in the Delhi blast.
