Deepika Padukone Named Among 90+ Women Shaping Culture Alongside Selena Gomez, Angelina Jolie

Deepika Padukone has been featured on The Shift’s prestigious list of 90+ Women Shaping Culture, joining a global roster of influential figures including Selena Gomez, Angelina Jolie, Billie Eilish, Amal Clooney, and Zoya Akhtar. In her feature, Deepika reflected on her broader definition of success:

Her inclusion highlights not only her global influence in cinema but also her role as a mental health advocate through the Live Love Laugh Foundation, which has played a vital part in destigmatizing mental health in India.

A Global Force On and Off Screen

Deepika continues to break new ground internationally. In 2026, she is set to become the first Indian actor to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame—a historic achievement for Indian cinema.

She will next be seen in a pan-India action film directed by Atlee and backed by Sun Pictures. Tentatively titled AA22xA6, the film features Allu Arjun in the lead and marks Deepika’s first collaboration with him.

Additionally, she will reprise her role in the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, with filming scheduled to resume in December 2025. While the sequel is expected to focus more on Prabhas’s character Karna and Amitabh Bachchan’s Ashwatthama, Deepika will continue her role as the mother figure.
