Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s Tere Ishq Mein continues its impressive box office run, raking in an estimated ₹17 crore on Day 2, bringing its two-day total to ₹33 crore. The film, released on November 28, has drawn strong audience turnout, with evening shows reporting the highest occupancy.
According to Sacnilk, the film opened with ₹16.5 crore on Day 1, surpassing recent Bollywood releases like Jolly LLB 3 (₹12 crore) and Sitaare Zameen Par (₹10.7 crore), marking Dhanush’s biggest Bollywood opening to date. Overall, the film recorded 25.77% Hindi occupancy and 20.84% Tamil occupancy.
Storyline
Tere Ishq Mein follows Shankar (Dhanush), a passionate and intense young man, who falls for Mukti (Kriti Sanon). Their college romance faces obstacles when Mukti chooses to marry another, exploring a love story that is raw, unpredictable, and defies logic and time.
Produced by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Colour Yellow Productions, the film is directed by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma, with screenplay by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav. The soundtrack, composed by A.R. Rahman with lyrics by Irshad Kamil, has already won widespread acclaim.
