Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is proving to be a dark horse at the box office.

The romantic drama starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa has crossed the ₹100 crore mark worldwide within just 12 days of release, continuing its impressive run in theatres.

Box office success
As per trade estimates, the Milap Zaveri directorial has collected ₹66 crore nett (₹80 crore gross) in India and ₹15 crore overseas, taking its total global earnings to ₹101 crore. Producers Desi Movies Factory shared that the film’s strong word of mouth and repeat viewership have played a major role in sustaining its momentum well into the second week.

Despite a slow start on Diwali weekend, the film has shown solid growth, with family audiences and younger viewers driving collections. Trade trackers predict the film could touch ₹120 crore worldwide before the end of its theatrical run.

Beats other romantic dramas
With its latest milestone, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has surpassed the lifetime collections of Param Sundari (₹86 crore) starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, and Bhool Chuk Maaf (₹91 crore) featuring Rajkummar Rao. Among 2025’s romantic hits, only Saiyaara—which grossed over ₹575 crore—stands ahead.

Audience connect and music boost
The film’s rise has been credited to its emotional narrative, catchy soundtrack, and the on-screen chemistry between Rane and Bajwa. Songs like “Tere Bina” and “Dil Deewana” have become social media favourites, boosting the film’s popularity.

About the film
Directed by Milap Zaveri, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat follows a passionate love story set against themes of loss and redemption. The film also stars Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, and Ananth Narayan Mahadevan in key roles. With strong box office numbers and continued audience support, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has become one of the most successful romantic dramas of the year—proving once again that heartfelt storytelling can win big at the box office.
