Businessman Bharat Takhtani, former husband of actor Esha Deol, has confirmed he is in a new relationship. On Instagram, he shared a romantic photo with Meghna Lakhani, captioned: “Welcome to the family, it’s official.” Meghna reposted the picture and later shared another image of the two together, giving fans a glimpse of their bond.

Bharat and Esha married in 2012 and were together for 11 years before announcing their separation in 2024. In a joint statement, they described the decision as “mutual and amicable” while emphasizing that their daughters, Radhya and Miraya, would remain their highest priority.

“The best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We’d appreciate our privacy is respected,” the statement read.

In 2017, around the birth of their first daughter Radhya, the couple renewed their vows during a traditional Sindhi Godh Bharai ceremony at ISKCON Temple in Juhu. The intimate function was attended by close friends and family, including Jaya Bachchan, Rashmi Thackeray, and Dimple Kapadia. Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan also performed rituals during the ceremony.

Dharmendra’s Reported Concerns

After the split, reports suggested that Esha’s father, veteran actor Dharmendra, wished the two would reconcile.

“No parent can be happy seeing their children’s family being broken. Dharmendra ji understands her decision but wanted her to rethink, especially for the sake of the kids,” a source told Bollywood Life.

The insider added that Dharmendra’s concern was for his granddaughters, who are close to both sets of grandparents, and that he felt separation could affect them deeply.
