Farhan Akhtar’s ‘120 Bahadur’ Teaser to Drop August 5, Brings Rezang La’s Forgotten Heroes to the Big Screen.
Farhan Akhtar is set to return to the silver screen with 120 Bahadur, a stirring war drama based on the legendary yet underrepresented Battle of Rezang La from the 1962 Indo-China War. The teaser for the film will be unveiled on August 5, offering the first look at this powerful tribute to one of India’s most heroic military stands.
Directed by Razneesh “Razy” Ghai, the film features Akhtar as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, the Param Vir Chakra awardee who led 120 soldiers of the 13 Kumaon Regiment in a defiant stand against Chinese forces in the freezing heights of Ladakh. Vastly outnumbered and cut off from reinforcements, the battalion fought to the last man — a resistance so fierce it is believed to have contributed to China’s unilateral ceasefire.
Shot across the rugged terrains of Ladakh, Rajasthan, and Mumbai, 120 Bahadur was filmed under extreme conditions, including sub-zero temperatures at altitudes of 14,000 feet. The production team brought on board the Oscar-winning action crew behind All Quiet on the Western Front, and UK-based Snow Business to recreate the brutal winter warfare with cinematic authenticity.
The film is produced by Excel Entertainment (Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar) and Trigger Happy Studios (Amit Chandrra), and is slated for a theatrical release on November 21, 2025.
Joining Akhtar in a pivotal role is Raashii Khanna, whose recent work in The Sabarmati Report and Yodha reportedly impressed the makers. While details of her character remain under wraps, sources suggest she plays a central role in the film’s emotional core.
120 Bahadur promises more than just a war film—it aims to bring to light a forgotten chapter of valor and sacrifice, immortalizing the men who refused to surrender.
Teaser releases August 5. The legend of Rezang La lives on.
