‘Felt Like Falling Into a Black Hole’: Jaaved Jaaferi Recalls Ajay Devgn Feeding Him Bhaang

Actors Jaaved Jaaferi and Ajay Devgn recently reunited for De De Pyaar De 2, but an old memory from their early days of shooting is now making headlines.

In a new interview, Jaaved revealed that one of Ajay’s notorious pranks once left him convinced he was facing a life-or-death situation.

The Holi Prank That Spiralled

Speaking to Radio Mirchi, Jaaved recalled how, during Holi festivities at their hotel, Ajay Devgn mischievously added bhaang to the food being served. Unaware of the prank and not being someone who drinks or smokes, Jaaved ended up eating quite a bit.

“This was my first time working with Ajay. He’s younger than me, very quiet, but still loves to play pranks,” Jaaved said. “I didn’t realise the food had bhaang. I ate heartily.”

‘It Felt Like a Black Hole’

The effects kicked in soon after — and hit him harder than he could have imagined. Jaaved said he was in the middle of a serious conversation when everything around him began to distort. “I suddenly felt something was very wrong,” he recounted. “I excused myself to go to my room, and that’s when it got really strange. It felt like I was falling into a black hole.”

Panicking, he called his assistant, asked to be connected to his wife, and even phoned his son Meezaan, fearing something terrible was about to happen. “I was almost giving my last will,” he said, laughing about it now.

The Truth Comes Out

It was only later that Jaaved discovered the real reason behind the bizarre episode: Ajay Devgn had deliberately played the bhaang prank on him.

“Baad mein pata chala ki yeh Mr Devgn ne prank play kiya tha,” he said.
