Hansika Motwani’s marriage ended in 4 years, lawyer’s statement on divorce from Sohail Kathuria

Actress Hansika Motwani and businessman Sohail Kathuria have officially ended their relationship after four years of marriage. The Bandra Family Court has granted them a mutual divorce.

Confirming this, Hansika’s lawyer, Adnan Sheikh, stated that both parties admitted to the court that their marriage had irretrievably broken down, leading to the mutual decision to separate. However, the couple has not yet publicly stated the actual reason for the divorce.

According to an India Today report, the petition filed with the court stated that the two had frequent quarrels over trivial matters. Over time, these differences escalated to the point where living together under the same roof became difficult.

What the divorce petition stated

The petition also stated that both families and close friends had attempted to reconcile Hansika and Sohail. They were also advised to work on their relationship, but despite all efforts, their differences remained unresolved.

The couple then decided to separate by mutual consent and legally end their marriage. According to the petition, Hansika and Sohail have been living separately since July 2, 2024. Both of them agreed to end the marriage by filing their respective affidavits in the court.

Hansika did not seek alimony

Hansika’s lawyer said, “Our client initially sought separation by mutual consent. Today, the respondent also filed an affidavit in the court, giving his consent for divorce. It is important to clarify that our client has not filed any claim for alimony or maintenance, as her intention was to end this relationship in a respectful and amicable manner. She now wishes to move forward with her personal life and professional commitments.”

Married in 2022

Hansika Motwani and Sohail Kathuria were married in a grand ceremony on December 4, 2022. Reports of a rift in their relationship began surfacing last year, when Hansika deleted several wedding photos from her Instagram account.

However, neither of them has publicly commented on their divorce.
