Harshvardhan Rane Hails Fans for Backing Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat and Thamma: ‘Nepotism Khatm Kar Diya’

After the lukewarm reception of Sanam Teri Kasam, Harshvardhan Rane is riding high with his latest release Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, which has earned over Rs 34 crore in just four days, despite limited theatre slots. The actor recently traveled to Gujarat to personally thank fans for their overwhelming support — not just for his film, but also for Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thamma, which released alongside his during Diwali.

In a video circulating on social media, Harshvardhan, standing alongside co-star Sonam Bajwa, expressed gratitude to audiences:
“This Diwali, you supported the films of two outsiders. Ayushmann Khurrana’s film released along with mine. Watch both and enjoy them. You people alone finished nepotism from the entire Bollywood.”

He also urged fans to bring their family members to watch the films:
“For those in your family who haven’t seen it yet, please come again with them.”

Fans responded enthusiastically, praising Rane for his humility and supportive nature:

  • “Pehla banda jo dusro ko bhi support me bola.”
  • “Harshvardhan Rane mast hero h, inki saari movie hamesha blockbuster ho, yahi dua h, lovely movie.”
  • “Dil jeet liya, that’s why I like Harshvardhan.”

About Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat
Directed by Milaap Zaveri, the film follows Vikramaditya (Harshvardhan Rane), a passionate artist who falls in love with the free-spirited Adaa (Sonam Bajwa). Their romance begins as a passionate affair but slowly turns obsessive, with Vikramaditya’s insecurities and ego threatening to consume both their lives.

The film delves into themes of love, desire, obsession, and heartbreak, set against a backdrop of music and emotional turmoil. Alongside the lead duo, the cast includes Sachin Khedekar, Shaad Randhawa, and Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, complementing the film’s intense narrative.

With its compelling storyline and strong performances, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has struck a chord with audiences, cementing Harshvardhan Rane’s reputation as a relatable and grounded star in Bollywood.
