Haryanvi Model Sheetal Murder: Accused Sunil Confesses to Stabbing, Arrested in Panipat.

The brutal murder of 24-year-old Haryanvi model Sheetal, also known as Simmi, has been solved with the arrest of the prime accused, Sunil. He was taken into custody by the CIA-1 team of Panipat police on Monday evening. According to police, Sheetal’s family had filed a missing person’s complaint on June 15 at the Matlauda police station after she failed to return home from a shoot in Ahar village on May 14. Sheetal, who lived with her sister in Panipat, worked in Haryanvi music videos.

On Monday morning, a woman’s body was found floating in a canal near Kharkhoda in Sonipat district. The body, bearing throat injuries, was later confirmed to be Sheetal’s after post-mortem at PGI Khanpur. Based on the family’s statement and further investigation, a murder case was registered against Sunil, a resident of Israna. He was arrested later the same day near Park Hospital in Panipat.

During interrogation, Sunil admitted to stabbing Sheetal and trying to pass it off as a road accident by dumping her body and the car into a canal. Police are now seeking his remand to recover the murder weapon and collect further evidence.
