Kamala Harris Slams Joe Biden Over Debate Eve Call in New Memoir.

Kamala Harris has criticised Joe Biden in her new memoir 107 Days, revealing that she was left “angry and disappointed” by a phone call from him just hours before her 2024 debate against Donald Trump. According to Harris, Biden initially called to wish her luck but quickly shifted the conversation, saying his brother’s political allies in Philadelphia would not back her campaign because she had been “saying bad things about him.”

“I just couldn’t understand why he would call me, right now, and make it all about himself,” Harris writes. She says Biden then changed the subject to his own poor debate performance months earlier, insisting, “I beat him the other time; I wasn’t feeling well in that last one.” Harris recalls barely listening, with her husband Doug Emhoff urging her to “let it go.”

In the memoir, Harris also criticises Biden’s muted response to the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022, questions his ability to campaign effectively, and recalls feeling sidelined by his advisers, writing: “Their thinking was zero-sum: If she’s shining, he’s dimmed.”
